My name is Katherine Whatley, and I am a 2014 graduate of Tennessee Tech University. I majored in Human Ecology with an emphasis in Family and Consumer Science Education. I am a licensed teacher in the state of Tennessee and have experience with teaching children from 3 to 18 years of age. I have known I wanted to teach since I was in elementary school. To me, nothing is more satisfying than seeing that "Aha!" moment on a student's face and seeing their confidence in themselves grow.
I am currently employed with Putnam County Schools where I am filling a semester long Family and Consumer Science teaching position at Monterey High School. I have been teaching a total of two years. My strongest areas in academia include reading and language arts, grammar, writing, and test preparation. I have prior experience teaching subjects such as nutrition, psychology, and personal finance. I am very easy going and would love to help you or your child get caught up and get ahead!
