Hello!

I am currently a senior at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I have just transferred from Cleveland State University (OH), majoring in mathematics and secondary education. I will graduate in August 2015 with a license to teach 7-12 math. I had an internship with CSU, where I tutored multiple students with multiple math subjects ranging from pre-algebra to calculus 2. I have multiple experiences tutoring students of different ages, mainly ranging from 15-40, and love helping all different types of students. I specifically prefer to teach/tutor math, but can also help with test preparation such as ACT,SAT, OGT, and GED. Not only that, but can help with other subjects as well including English, writing, and social studies/history.

As part of my degree training, I have taught in multiple grades, ranging from 3rd to 12th grade. Through my training and undergrad, I have extremely enjoyed teaching to all ages. Therefore, I can tutor and all ages. As long as I can help students learn content in a way that is suitable for the student, I will enjoy tutoring. Tutoring every student is different, as I accommodate to the students' needs in terms of learning. I can differentiate my teaching/tutoring to however the student learns best. At the end of the day, I just want my students to feel comfortable learning material, and have them feel confident answering questions independently. Helping others is a strength and goal of mine, and I want to achieve that goal anyway possible!

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me!

I look forward to helping you or your child become a better student!

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I have not only taken Algebra 1 in high school, but I have also tutored in multiple locations in mathematics. One of these locations (through my internship at CSU), is at the YWCA GED center, where the majority of my tutoring is algebra based. Furthermore, in my undergraduate degree at CSU, I have taken courses that involve knowledge of basic algebraic skills. These courses include Calculus 1,2,3, differential equations, and abstract algebra. Out of all of the mathematical subjects, I feel the most comfortable with Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have not only taken Algebra 2 in high school, but I also tutor students in algebra 2. This includes at the YWCA of Greater Cleveland for GED tutoring, and I have tutored students at Cleveland State University with algebra 2 concepts. Furthermore, as part of my undergraduate degree, I have been in multiple algebra classes. This includes linear algebra, and abstract algebra. These classes take calculus algebra, and trigonometry knowledge to fully comprehend linear and abstract algebra.

I have swam for a USA swimming club team for 15 years, high school, and two years of collegiate swimming at the University of Akron. In high school, I broke six records my senior year in the 100 yard butterfly, all relays, 100 backstroke, 100 breastroke, and 200 IM. During my high school career, I qualified for states three years in a row, in relays, 100 backstroke, and 100 butterfly. After retiring from swimming in 2012, I had turned to coaching. I had coached swimming from 2012 to 2013 and also teaching private and group lessons to all ages. While at the University of Akron, I swam the 200 butterfly, 100 butterfly, 200 IM, 200 freestyle, and 500 freestyle.

I have not only gone through the testing process to get a diploma (OGT), but I have tutored at the YWCA of Greater Cleveland in GED preparation. There, I have helped over 15 women receive their GED. Here, I help women between the ages 18 and 50, and am prepared to help any student with any age. Furthermore, I do have resources to help with the new testing regimen. I am familiar with the new and old testing, and with the technology needed for the new testing.
