I consider academics and education to be the greatest of all gifts. Having a good life means having good choices. Having a poor choice or a lack of choices leads to a poor life. Good choices only come from having a good education to see the choices you have. I believe in drawing out a student's talent and potential. That means making sure that they have a sound foundation in a subject and have critical thinking skills to solve complicated problems. This leads to success in all phases of life. I do not believe in giving out answers, but rather guiding the students to pull the answers out for themselves. Education is all about "drawing out" the student's potential from within, making wealth and abundance their own.

My specialties are mathematics through calculus and general sciences along with aerospace engineering. I founded and ran an aerospace flight academy in Washington DC for high school students which covers all aspects of math and science. I believe in application and correlation learning as opposed to simple rote learning. I guarantee that after our lessons that the student will not only be able to solve the problems, but will have mastered the subject. I will look forward to assisting in the enhancement of your education.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

Algebra is the start of solving for the unknown. If at any point in time you have solved the mathmatical problem 2+2=, you have done algebra. If you look at it from this standpoint, you now have a foundation to build from. My purpose is to provide you assistance for the short term so that you are capable of standing on your own two feet in solving algebraic equations. I graduated from MIT and have been applying these concepts for the course of my career. I enjoy helping students achieve their academic goals and becoming successful. I would like to provide the same opportunity for you.

Calculus,

Calculus

Calculus, in summary, is the language that links distance with velocity and acceleration, circumference with area and volume, and mass with momentum and kinetic energy. My philosophy is that once you understand the purpose of calculus, you will be more in tune with getting the individual concepts that it requires you to learn in differentiation and integration. That is what I can bring to the table. I have engineered spacecraft, and launch vehicles and aircraft. Calculus directly applies to orbit mechanics in space travel as well as aerodynamics for aircraft.
Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry is the skeletal system for all of mathematics. For any student that has the aspiration to study in the fields of science and mathematics, a thorough understanding of geometry is vital in order to master all advanced subjects from calculus, differential equations, and any of the engineering disciplines. Geometry serves as the artistic picture of math and my purpose is to help students afford the opportunity to see the math in their heads as they are solving complex problems.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is the start of math beyond just counting your change. This is the base foundation of all mathematical concepts to come. Understanding the foundation of math at this level is critical to being able to master all of the integrated concepts from Algebra to Calculus and Differential Equations. This class is the start of your mathematical resume.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

Calculus, in summary, is the language that links distance with velocity and acceleration, circumference with area and volume, and mass with momentum and kinetic energy. Pre-calculus exposes you to the principles that lead up to the purpose of calculus. My philosophy is that once you understand the purpose of calculus, you will be more in tune with getting the individual concepts that it requires you to learn in differentiation and integration. That is what I can bring to the table. I have engineered spacecraft, and launch vehicles and aircraft. Trigonometry,

Trigonometry

The trigonometric circle is the foundation of all advanced mathematical concepts leading forward into calculus. A solid understanding of the trigonometric applications and how it correlates to the third dimension is imperative to becoming a successful mathematician. This is what I do. I teach students how to prepare themselves for critical thinking in advanced math and recognizing proper applications in solving problems of unusual situations.

GEOSICENSE

Mr. Robert was very Knowledgeable in the subject. I am very pleased and happy with the work done. I will recommend Mr. Robert to anyone in need of knowledgeable tutor.

Great job helping my son identify the "holes" in understanding

Robert didn't just follow up on specific problems but worked with my son to help identify the bigger picture issue that was contributing to his problems with smaller details. We are looking forward to the next session!

Miracle Worker

My son failed college algebra his sophomore year. He worked with a tutor the entire time. We switched to Robert for the next semester and aced it with a 96. He was amazing and able to actually teach it to my son. We are excited

Mr. Robert goes above and beyond in Calculus.

Mr. Robert goes above and beyond and has not only shown me how to solve problems but why we use the tools we use to solve a problem. Mr. Roberts method gave me the confidence to find all the answers for myself every time rather than just spoon feeding an answer. I recommend Mr. Roberts to all and especially to those who, like me, struggle with word problems.

Victor, 2 lessons with Robert

Knowledgable and relateable. Took time to understand the student

We just started using Robert as a tutor for high school Physics. First meeting went very well and we seem to have a good match personality wise. We are going to move forward with using Robert on a regular basis for exam review.

Awesome tutor!

Mr. N. was not only very helpful with the specific applied calculus problems, but also gave me insight as to how and why applied calculus is useful in the real world. He shared a method of approaching word problems that made sense. He is very knowledgeable and helped me understand how to read the problem so that solving it was easy. It is obvious he wants to help and enjoys teaching. He has many years working in the aerospace industry and gave me insight into what I can do as a pro pilot student to prepare for my future. I am excited to continue having him as my tutor.

Lori, 2 lessons with Robert

Very nice and very helpful.

Robert listened to my concerns and questions and helped me through some of the issues that I was having. He is exactly the kind of tutor that I need to successfully complete my course.
