Hello students and parents,
My name is Jorden, I am 20 years old, and I love to teach. I have taught a few young children, however not in a professional capacity, but in a student-helper sort of way. Nevertheless, I have a knack for explaining certain things in ways that you can identify with, no matter your age. It would be an honor if you would take a chance on me and you will see that I can be a wonderful tutor. Younger children in K-6th to be specific are my favorite age group to teach, but I would be very willing to teach seventh, eighth, or even high school level. I am a bit silly sometimes, because I find that helps the students enjoy it more easily. As stated at the heading of my page, English, Reading, and other subjects as grammar, vocabulary, and spelling are my specialty. They are not the only things I can teach well, but they are my strongest suits. I am hearing impaired, and have been since I was a small child. I wear hearing aids in both ears, and sometimes have difficulty understanding what has been said, but my recovery rate is swift, and I will not need much clarification. I can be a mite bit shy upon first communication so please, be patient with me, and you will soon find me to be quite open, and loquacious. Also of note, despite my own hearing disability I can tutor in Speech/Pronunciation lessons, and/or work with students with hearing disabilities as well. If you are interested in having me as your tutor, please feel free to place an inquiry at any time you like. Hello students and parents,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have the expertise in this area to be able to tutor due to the fact that on my own ACT test I scored Advanced in both the English, and Reading sections. A 31 out of 36 in my English portion to be exact. I have a comprehensive understanding of the English language in and of itself, and intend to minor in English at the University I am attending currently.
I have received nothing but accolades when it comes to this subject. I have not taken it actively in an educational institution since I was enrolled in middle school, yet I have retained an enormous amount of the subject in my memory. This would be absolutely no issue at all to tutor in.
I have worked with Elementary children several times. In a volunteer capacity but I am well aware of how children respond to different teaching methods, and I am confident in my ability to help them learn. I am capable of choosing which method would be to the best advantage for each child, and thus apply it accordingly. I have worked at three different elementary schools, (again as a volunteer) and have received positive reviews from all three.
