I work with all ages, and help you through your own unique learning style. Each person, even a little child, holds on to certain things passionately, wants to experience things the way it is most meaningful to them, and may just not care for other ways of learning. There is a way to bridge the gap in learning any subject through your unique learning ability and creative, engaging 1-on-1 relationship. That's how i like to teach.

Being a kinesthetic learner means that I learn by engaging my body. For me specifically I learn while using my hands. So I know a student who seems distracted may simply be engaged in learning their own way. We can go there. Tell me how about yourself and let's start with HOW you learn.

Being patient comes through experience and helps me relate to people who struggle to get information from a book or a video that lacks a personal touch.

Applying design principles to framing and cropping, my students will learn how light is transformed in your camera, and the technical settings you need to know. Even an iPhone camera is subject to the principles of light and the limitations of available light. I help you to understand how to use the most simple point-and-shoot camera to take good pictures and train you to use your DSLR and related professional photography equipment to make money. You will enjoy the hands on and personalized shooting and training experience!

In a corporate design role I developed video production skills through work study, and specific skills, hiring trainers and tutors in Motion, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, studio lighting, photography and cameras. Since 2012 I've designed and built three production studios and i now work under a video director shooting live performances in Nashville as a Camera man, Assistant director, and now his primary backup director. Since 2018 I have been a working professional directing live video productions as a side profession, about one concert or event per month. Currently I shoot some weddings and also record webinar interview content, producing training videos with Adobe Premiere.

I grew up the son of a preacher, and grandson of a Nazarene minister. I have attended Christian schools for most of my life, and when I was in public high schools, I was leading the Bible study after school. I attended two Christian colleges, completing New Testament and Old Testament studies with high marks, among other bible studies. I teach Sunday school, and teach my own five children directly from the Bible. I was a camp counselor and became camp program director at a Christian camp where I worked for 8 summers, and developed my own Bible study curriculum for both 8-11 and 12-15 age groups. I continue to study the Bible regularly and with an open mind to new understanding nearly every day. I do not hold to a particular denomination, but my children are part of a Baptist school, and I am active in an independent, Bible believing church.

Exactly what I needed

Daniel is an excellent tutor. He listened to what I asked him to teach me, and then asked me how I would like to learn (watching him, doing it as he talked me through the steps, etc.). I really appreciated this as we all have different learning styles. He was patient and explained things clearly and slowly enough that I could make notes while he was talking. He tackled what I thought was going to be an agonizingly difficult task and made it very simple. I will definitely be reaching out for his help again in the future.
