Hello, my name is Keisha.
I have worked in education for over 12 years. I have mainly serviced students in elementary and high school that are high risk. On the high school level, I taught Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Physical Science, and Health and Wellness. I have spent 11 years in brick and mortar and one year with a virtual school. When I worked in elementary schools, I was a Title 1 Tutor which I specialized with working with students that needed extra help in reading. My passion is to help students reach their potential.
* Communicator - Possessing excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, while maintaining mutually beneficial internal and external relationships * Leader - Exhibits integrity, keen attention to detail, strong work ethic and commitment to community service * Facilitator- is someone who helps a group of people understand their common objectives and assists them to plan to achieve them without taking a particular position in the discussion.
What makes me an outstanding science tutor is not only my love for education but also I know what it feels like to be that student that needs that extra help or push to reach that next level. I've worked with students for over 12 years and most of my time was spent on helping students reach their maximum potential with individual help. I also have 2 children that need that individual attention at times so I know how to push my nurturing skills to help a student focus and understand the concepts.
Right now, I'm available during the day but that will change to evenings starting after July 18th. I'm always willing to work out schedule that best for the both of us. So just let me know. Hello, my name is Keisha.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified to tutor in Genetics because of my educational background and fond interest in this area of Biology. This was always my favorite subject to teach in High School. I taught Genetics for over 10 years. This was one of my courses while I was in underground. I have researched this topic so much due to family circumstances of understanding Down Syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities.
