I decided during college days that I wanted to teach. I majored in Mathematics in college. So, I continued my education and received a Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of Memphis. My minor was in Mathematics for my graduate degree. After college I taught for a short while in a Baptist elementary school in Memphis. I found out very quickly that I did not like teaching in a classroom. Most of my time was spent in classroom control. I did not enjoy that. So, I moved to several jobs in computer work. After moving to east Tennessee in 1997 I decided to start tutoring. I began this part of my career in 2001. I have been doing part-time tutoring ever since.
I really enjoy helping students. That is what keeps me tutoring five days a week. I love Mathematics and I really enjoy helping the students with their Math skills. Most of them do not love Mathematics, but I enjoy helping them learn the skills they need.
I love to meet your child and see how I can help them. I love teaching. I just did not like the classroom environment.
