Hello. I have taught Western Civilization multiple times, both in a traditional (face-to-face) classroom setting and online. I have also taught African American History and am on track to teach World History. Hello. I have taught Western Civilization multiple times, both in a traditional (face-to-face) classroom setting and online. I have also taught African American History and am on track to teach World History. Currently, I am employed with Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College and Central Carolina Technical College through their online programs. Additionally, I have worked at Trident Tech and hope to return to them soon.

History can be dull, all those names and dates of people who have long since died. Who fought this war? Who lost that war? But there is quite a bit that is interesting (fascinating, dare I say?) about history. Events usually occur as a result of various factors: economic, political and social. It is important to remember details, but it is also important to see "the big picture."

I've written a book published by the History Press. It was done well and I am happy to share history, whether through the written word, in a conversation, or in a learning environment.

I love history. I especially love European and world history, although I have to admit that having taught African American history and having written a book on local history, I guess I love American history too.

I'd be happy to "talk history", with an emphasis on what you need to retain in order to do well in class. There is no reason why history has to be dull. The teacher's job is not to fail a student; teachers are to give information and evaluate how well that information has been absorbed. With history it is also important to analyze what you are given and make conclusions. A little guidance goes a long way. Contact me and let's schedule some lessons. I want you to do well. I also want you to enjoy history!
