Hello, my name is Ryoko. I'm from Japan. I completed the NAFL Japanese Language Instructors Qualification Course. I love to teach Nihongo (Japanese language) for foreigners and Japanese kids, for all levels. For the learners who are struggling to pass the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) or BJT (Business Japanese Proficiency Test) as well.
After I graduated Japanese graduate school, I worked for Japanese biggest advertising company for 5 years, and a global news company for 3 years as a advertising/media marketing director. I'm knowledgeable about Japanese business affairs and traditional culture, modern culture, and subculture (Anime, music, etc.) because I had clients in a great variety of industries.
I am also certified Japanese governmental social education programs, and can teach sports/fitness and music for kids. I can help kids who need to go back to school in Japan too. I currently teach from 5 to 45 years old students. I may discount your hourly rate if I don't have to travel over 20 miles. In addition, my hourly rate includes your study materials costs. I customize textbooks, hand-outs, writing practice workbooks etc... for each student's level and interest.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Ryoko is a wonderful tutor! She is patient, encouraging, and very good at helping me understand the material. She goes above and beyond to help me in whatever way possible. I have already learned so much. I would highly recommend her tutoring services to anyone!
Currently working on numbers/calendar dates, days of the week, giving and asking directions. All kinds of great stuff! Studying katakana and hiragana as well. Its a great way to learn!
My kids and I are taking a trip to Japan and wanted an intro to the language and culture. We found Ryoko on WyzAnt and are very happy that we did. Ryoko is knowledgeable, patient and easy to follow. We looked forward to every lesson and really enjoyed the entire experience! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anybody wanting to learn Japanese.
I loved my lesson with Ryoko. She was very patient and answered all my question. I can't wait for our next lesson.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've been playing Electric organ and piano for 30 years. I'm a keyboardist of local band in South Carolina and Tokyo.
