Georgia Gwinett College (Mathematics)
My background in mathematics is both embedded in real life career paths and academics. After 8 years in the military where I was in Combat Military Intelligence, I spent the last 16 years of my life as a residential builder. I have been teaching at Riverside High School for 3 years now and have a mathematics degree from Georgia.
I am new to WyzAnt and look forward to the opportunity to help you experience success in the content you are working with.
I explain to my students that you don't 'study' math, you PRACTICE it. Therefore, any work that is done in tutoring sessions needs to be followed up by practice to complete the cycle of understanding. Therefore, after each session I do provide some questions to be completed.
Since I am a full time instructor at Riverside I am limited during the week to evenings and am available on the weekends. I would be happy to travel to neutral locations such as a library, coffee shop or other designated areas for instruction.
I am highly qualified in Alg I, Alg 2, Geometry, Precalculus and Calculus.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
