Winthrop University (English)
I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in English and Professional Writing. One of my favorite methods of tutoring is developing games for students and tutees to enjoy learning and remembering what they need to. I am well versed in online tutoring and in person, whichever you would prefer. The major subjects that I am versed in are specifically any English, Literature, and Writing. I am a creative thinker and I encourage problem solving skills and critical thinking in all of my students. Also, if you would like to work on other subjects such as public speaking, I am comfortable working that into the personal tutoring curriculum that we will develop together.
I have about a year and a half of education experience in schools and I have tutored at both the high school and college level. I am more comfortable in tutoring students ages 12 and over simply because that is where my experience is. However, if you find that you think I would be a good fit for either yourself or your tutee, please feel free to message me and I will do my best. Overall, the reason why I do this is because I love my subjects and I love to help others. I'm a relaxed tutor, I don't expect to be a strict taskmaster. My goal is to help students want to learn because it is proven that students who want/enjoy what they are learning will retain it more.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
