My students and their parents have said that I have a gift for making Mathematics make sense and even fun! I have had the privilege of teaching high school students Mathematics from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus A/B at Naperville North H.S., an award-winning public high school, in the western suburbs of Chicago, for 30 years. Some of the most gratifying experiences has been when I have worked with struggling students in small groups or in one-to-one sessions. It has been amazing to witness their growth in mastery, confidence, and enjoyment of Mathematics! I have also had the privilege of working with younger students at a Kumon Math and Reading Center, in Naperville. Thus, I tutor students from Arithmetic to AP Calculus.

In addition to having taught students Mathematics for over 30 years, I balanced my schedule with coaching Football at NNHS (Illinois Class 8A Champions 1992 and 2007!). The skills and strategies of teaching students and coaching athletes are wonderfully complimentary. There is obviously a great deal of coaching in the classroom and a great deal of teaching on the athletic field. I have become a better Mathematics teacher/tutor as a result advancing and applying my coaching skills.

The 30-plus years of the successes of my diverse students qualify me as outstanding Mathematics tutor!

I look forward to hearing from you and assisting you in your Mathematics mastery and enjoyment!

Fantastic tutor!

My daughter had a great tutor, but for reasons beyond our control had to search for a new one. We were prepared to be patient while we found a good replacement. Thankfully, Mr. Tim was our first try and we don't need to look further. He is attentive, helpful, and encouraging. (According to my daughter.)

Patient and encouraging

Tim is a wonderful tutor as he is patient and very encouraging. He has helped me feel more confident with algebra and allows me to work through the problems on my own but also knows when to step in if I am needing a little help. Overall, I am very happy with the work we are doing and the way he teaches.

Amazing Tutor and Fast Results

My Daughter is taking Algebra 2 in HS. Tim has worked with her three times and she has made A's on both of the tests she has taken since working with him in a weeks time. I would highly recommend him.

Great experience

Tim was very prompt and polite. Alex said that he was very helpful and really helped him to better understand what he has been having problems with in class and thinks that he is going to do much better this year in geometry with tutoring help from Tim!

Great Help with ACT

Thank you, Tim! We are amazed at the spirit you are instilling in our son. You are, Dear Sir, a true blessing for Matthew! He responds so well to your demeanor and approach. It feels like you adapt to meet the particular needs of your students. I’m beginning to realize that a good tutor is so much more than someone who knows math. You are a motivator,a coach and a friend to him. Someone he respects and wants to show he can do well! Thank you so much!

Would recommend!

Tim is patient, calm, and reassuring with my daughter- exactly what she needs to build her confidence with Geometry skills! Tim’s fees are also reasonable compared to other tutors I’ve used for my children.
