I believe Microsoft Access is one of the best software packages ever created. I have been programming and tutoring in Microsoft Access for small businesses as well as billion dollar companies in industries like hospital and manufacturing. I can teach you real world techniques in MS Access that you will need to know in a corporate environment. I am very patient and can teach you everything from Access basics like creating tables, forms, and reports, to advanced concepts like: reporting driven by summary tables\queries, macros that run automatically (or via button) that consolidate data and send emails with reports attached, connecting Access to external input sources such as Excel spreadsheets or ODBC, exporting data into multiple formats like Excel\Word \PDF\Text, report\subreport, form\subform, linking one Access database to another, etc. I can also teach you the VBA and Macro language behind Microsoft Access. I have corporate terminology experience in the sales and finance areas and can teach you how to create Access databases that calculate profitability, pricing, forecasting, budgeting, sales comparison, etc. for use in the corporate world.

The classes I have taken in Microsoft Access years ago helped me to understand the fundamentals of Access, however, only through real world experience in a corporate environment did I learn how to apply that knowledge to database solutions and reporting that managers are looking for today. I have also used Access to help small businesses manage their business and in some cases, helped to completely redesign their existing screens and reporting, resulting in databases with easy to use interfaces and accurate reporting. I have tutored people in a corporate environment to use Microsoft Access based on their company's needs. For example, I was the temporary Microsoft Access programmer for a company with 2 main databases that 50 people used concurrently. I redesigned the Access databases and converted the historical information into the new format. During this database conversion, I tutored employees who had limited or no Access experience to be able to administer the databases when I was no longer there. Over time, I taught the employees everything from Access table and form basics to advanced macros and advanced reporting. The employees successfully took over the administration and maintenance of the Access databases for this company. In another company, my role was expanding to include not only the administration of many Access databases, but also Sharepoint and Powerapps. I tutored a user in this company to take over a portion of my Microsoft Access responsibilities and this was successfully accomplished. There were several other small businesses where I did an analysis on the state of their Access databases, made recommendations for improvement, and executed an implementation plan that included tutoring employees on the administration and maintenance of the resulting modified databases. I enjoy tutoring people in Microsoft Access so they can see how powerful it is and I help them understand how to apply it for their personal use as well as how to apply it in their careers.

I am a kind and patient person and enjoy helping people understand how simple Access can be as well as how powerful it can be. From creating simple tables or easy to use forms that people can use to enter data to creating complex multilevel reports that will be used by senior management of a corporation.
