I am a college graduate who majored in Communications & Theatre. I have one year of experience working as an After School Counselor at an elementary school. I provide homework assistance and tutoring. In the past I was Managing editor with a local magazine in Charleston, SC called Encounter Magazine. Outside of my counseling job I help undergrad students write and edit their college papers. I can help with test prep with all grade levels. English, Writing, and Reading are my strongest subjects for Elementary to College. I can also work with elementary age kids (K-5th) in Math, Reading, and Spelling.

Tutoring is a great way for me to give back to my community and to help students achieve far above what they expect from themselves. I realize that every person learns differently so my teaching technique centers around getting to know how each individual student thinks and pairing them with the best method that will help them get the most out of our time together.
I am flexible with my Saturday schedule but it's important that if you need to cancel to give me 24 hours notice. I require a 30 min free meet up before starting paid lesson. Each paid lesson is one hour long. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me through Wyzant.

I look forward to working with any parents/students that are interested in hiring me to tutor with them!
