Bio

I left my high school with a 3.97 GPA and 32 ACT and I was on my way to Georgia Tech. I thought I was ready for the next challenge and boy, was I wrong. I struggled in my chemistry class. I could not believe it! I am a biochemistry major; how could I be struggling in chemistry? It took some courage, but I finally reached out for help. Getting help through tutoring saved my grade, and I was able to leave my chemistry class with an A! That moment of success inspired me to help others succeed...

I could not believe it! I am a biochemistry major; how could I be struggling in chemistry? It took some courage, but I finally reached out for help. Getting help through tutoring saved my grade, and I was able to leave my chemistry class with an A! That moment of success inspired me to help others succeed and that is why I went into tutoring.

My name is Kuna I am a Spring 2018 Georgia Tech graduate with high honors in biochemistry. I double minored in Spanish and biology. I was a tutor in high school for two years. I continued tutoring in college as a tutor for introductory chemistry, physics and biology after I saw the benefit tutoring gave me. After some time, I became the coordinator for the tutoring program and have extensive knowledge in how to effectively tutor students. I enjoy helping student figure out tough problems and am comfortable working with diverse people from different backgrounds.

I enjoy seeing the moment when a concept clicks for a student. I understand that sometimes the way a teacher explains something does not make sense and I always try my best to break down the concept and make it easier to understand. I have taken classes on being an effective tutor and know there are different ways people learn and try my best to teach you concepts in a way that works best for you.

Currently I am a first year medical student and look forward to continue teaching students

Excellent first tutoring session

My daughter felt very comfortable with Kuna. She felt like she explained things to her a lot better than even her teacher. Already booking our next session and will update my review after her next tests! Very excited by my daughter's confidence.

Very knowledgeable and helpful

My daughter just had her first chemistry torturing lesson with Kuna and she is already very happy with Kuna's tutoring style. She said she learnt a lot from Kuna. So we are going to stick with Kuna for now.
