I am a paraprofessional who works at a local high school in South Carolina. I have worked with children ever since 2000. As a rule I worked with elementary and special needs until four years ago and I was placed with a seventh grader, which was a huge transformation for me. The student is a paraplegic and unable to write, so I scribe for him. We are in the eleventh grade, and I get pleasure from every minute of it.
I started tutoring last year, with a ninth grader. Who I worked with in all subjects, but I have preference of algebra. I helped him reach the tenth grade with my tutoring. Without my tutoring he may not have made it. I also am tutoring a ninth grader this year in algebra.
In fact, I take pleasure in math; I always made excellent grades in math when I was a student. I have passed the Praxis mathematics test for teaching in the state of South Carolina in 2012. I have taken Algebra 1, in the ninth grade with my student and Algebra 2 this year.
I took a hand writing course at Western Governors University in 2013, which I have a certificate.
I received a Special Needs & Disabilities Certificate in December 2007 from Piedmont Technical College. In addition I have worked with Special Needs children ever since 2000, which in reality I have enjoyed. My experience with special education is an asset to their learning process.
I am an extremely devoted and caring person who wishes to be of assistance to children and help them be successful in life. So tutoring them is extremely special to me. If I can tutor them and make them successful in life that will make me smile. Hopefully make them smile too. Give me a call I would be glad to help your child.
