I have a B.S in chemistry, a B.S in nursing, and will achieve my doctoral degree in psychiatric nursing May 2018. I have a total of 7 years teaching experience.

Four of those years were in secondary education where I taught chemistry, biology, and physics. I taught one year at a technical college in the Medical Assistant program. Lastly, I've worked as a nursing clinical instructor and simulation coordinator for a large university. In these positions, I was charged with stretching the knowledge from the classroom to real life people and patient care.

I am currently enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program with a psychiatric nurse practitioner specialty; I will be graduating in 9 months. I'm currently teaching in the nursing program at a large university in the role of simulation coordinator.

I have both a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and nursing. Both subjects require mastery in basic math.

I received my B. S in chemistry in 2005 and taught the subject to high school students for 3 years. Also, I have already completed all the clinical hours necessary to sit for my nurse practitioner boards.

My greatest strength is my personality. I am very approachable and my demeanor is non-threatening. I encourage everyone to be themselves and also provide a safe, non-judgmental environment. I don't believe in the old model where I'm the teacher and all the students sit quietly without a voice or opinion. I value my students and love hearing their points of view. I want my students to speak up and I believe there's no such thing as a dumb question!
