My computer experience goes back to the early 80s. I learned to type at 12 years old and was programming code at 14 years old. I began with the Apple II computer in 1983 and migrated toward the PC platform after completing high school in 1989.
In 2008 I graduated from Kaplan University with an Associate's of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems; with emphasis on Information Security and Computer Forensics, earning Summa Cum Laude honors and memberships in the Alpha Beta Kappa and Iota Sigma Tau honor societies.
My areas of expertise include typing, general computer operation, Microsoft Office familiarization, Computer/PC Hardware (selection, configuration, optimization), Computer software (selection, installation, configuration, optimization), Networking ethernet/wired, wireless (hardware, infrastructure, configuration, implementation, security), Internet navigation / Search Engine Optimization.
I am patient and efficient. I cover relevant material in a timely efficient manner and I'm always willing to slow down or stop to make sure I am understood. No pressure.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have over 25 years of experience with Microsoft Windows from 3.1 through Windows 10. In addition I learned extensively about Windows while earning my Information Systems degree at Kaplan University. I am happy to provide my college transcripts.
I have over 20 years of experience in designing, purchasing, implementing and securing network infrastructure. I know the difference between CAT5 and CAT6, hubs and switches and I know how to properly secure a network using passwords, mac addresses etc. I will gladly submit my college transcripts upon request.
