About Jamilia

Greetings,

I've been tutoring since 2006. As soon as I entered undergraduate, I began tutoring high school students as a volunteer then I became hired full time. Since then, doors have opened for me to tutor elementary and middle school students in Math and Reading. I enjoy helping students learn. It always bring me joy to see the progress they make during the school year.

I specialize in Math and Reading up to the 12th grade level. I am not certified to teach, but I do have experience in a classroom setting so I know what the students are being taught. I am currently a First Grade Instructional Assistant.

I really enjoy what I do. It's all about making a difference in a child's life.

If you are ready to see your child to soar to another level, I would love to help him/her to get there!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Great tutor

Very detailed and patient. Very nice to work with. My daughter loves her and is feeling more confident about Algebra 2.
