After 21 years of teaching reading, in a public school setting, I am having great enjoyment and success tutoring to people who really are seek help and appreciating my years of experience. I will do whatever I can to help you be successful, understand your materials and/or prepare to demonstrate your talents and knowledge. The most helpful tool that you would provide, to our sessions, would be the exact material, test, skills and/or directions that are required so that we can make use of our time together.
I have been teaching middle years English and reading for over 21 years. I'm trained to instruct ESOL students and adults I am not bilingual. My teaching has included resume writing, formalized testing, proofreading and formal college level writing.
Everyone, at one time or another, needs help to prepare for a test, acquire new skills or even be confident about taking on a new job, position or class. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
