“**Very knowledgable!**”

My name is Connor E. I am a recent graduate of North Greenville University with a Mathematics degree in hand! Before I became purely a Mathematics major, I was a Secondary Education-Math major. I was in this degree for 3 years

In-person lessons

Did a great job helping my sixth grader with his math, and when each tutoring session was over, he came out of it with a better understanding of what was being asked of him. Knowledgeable, timely, and trustworthy, we would definitely use Connor again!

My 14 year old has struggled with math for years. The basic foundations were never explained in a way that made any sense to her in a private school, public school and a charter school. FINALLY, we found Connor. My daughter said the way he explained the elements she never understood made so much sense. She said it was like 'oh, now I get it. That's easy.'. WOW! We are grateful for you Connor and highly recommend you to anyone struggling, even a little, with math to get Connor to help.

Connor is a great tutor. He helped me finish almost an entire semester of algebra in a few short weeks. I would highly recommend him for any math related needs. He is very good at explaining and showing you how to do challenging math concepts. Overall, I give Connor a 10/10.

Math:

ACT Math,
Elementary Education:

Elementary (K-6th),
Elementary Math,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I feel qualified to tutor in ACT Math because I have received several years of schooling in all sorts of math. I was a math major in college and have received my math degree. There shouldn't be anything on the ACT that is surprising or new to me in the math section. Also, there are lots of practice tests and questions online that I can research and have available for the student during a tutoring session. I know how to take tests and be successful, which is another aspect of the ACT in which I can help.

I used lots of algebra and learned not only how to perform concepts, but also how to simplify them for myself and my students when I did student-teaching in classrooms.

Being a math major in college, I encountered math of various forms. These various forms included elementary math, which forms the foundation for algebra. Algebra forms the foundation for Calculus. Finally, using Calculus forms the foundation for virtually all other types of higher math. Thus, I was using many different types and levels of math at all times during my college career. I am very well-suited to explain all concepts of elementary math.

Elementary science seems to cover a broad number of subjects, but in a light manner. Fortunately, I've taken all of these subjects in college, and feel as though I could communicate what I've learned and remembered from college.

I did well with grammar in high school, and also made 2 A's and 1 B in college English classes.

Being a math major in college, all forms of math were used. This included some of the concepts that would appear in prealgebra. Algebra is a huge building block in terms of math education, and prealgebra is obviously the major building block for algebra. I feel I would have a great understanding of the material here and many ways to simplify it for better understanding.

I feel qualified to help with SAT Math because I have several years of experience with all kinds of math from being a Math major in school. I now have my math degree. Also, I took the SAT twice and scored well on the math section. I know the format of the test and feel I can help with that, as well as the specific math concepts. There shouldn't be any math on there that is new to me, and I can research and find practice tests and questions online.

I feel qualified to help in Vocabulary because I have taken 3 college level English courses that all directly dealt with vocabulary. Essays were a huge part of all of the classes, and a good vocabulary was essential. Reading was also required for many of my college classes. Reading college-level material is a great way to improve your vocabulary. I feel very comfortable helping with vocabulary and explaining ways to remember words that are important to the student.
