Growing up in Nigeria, I always dreamed about being considered among the top intellectual individuals, and because of my inquisitive nature, I have always enjoyed the learning process.
This spurred me towards obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University and graduating with 3.47 GPA. I am currently working towards getting my master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
I am no stranger to the teaching environment; during my undergraduate years, I was a member of the international Mechanical Engineering Honor Society (Pi Tau Sigma). The upper class students in the organization occasionally had to organize exam review sessions for lower class college students for upcoming midterms. I led a number of such exam review sessions, where I gained first hand experience in tutoring. In the organization, I also signed up to be a private tutor for specific mechanical engineering classes in which I excelled.
I specialize in teaching all kinds of math (Calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra, linear algebra, differential equation, etc.) both for school success and standardized testing purposes. I also specialize in teaching some engineering classes which include: Statics, thermodynamics, etc.
During my undergraduate studies, I took 6 math classes; calculus I, calculus II, calculus III, linear algebra, differential equations and probability where I got B+,A,A-,A,A,A respectively and never managed bellow a B in an engineering class, hence I believe I am competent in handling the subject areas mentioned above.
I usually start off by giving diagnostics assessments, to figure out a students position on a topic. This would help in designing an effective and pragmatic syllabus for the student. I usually give follow up assignments after each lecture and keep a progress report to track students progress. This serves to ensure that goals are being met and also to encourage the student. I am very flexible with time.
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. However, if on the event a tutor session
