CPCC and Blue Ridge Community College (engineering and auto)
My name is Frank. I am interested in tutoring children who need help in Math and English, and are interested in learning to play guitar. I have two Associates degrees in both Electronics Engineering Technology and Automotive Systems Technology.
I have a math education that has taken me through calculus. I am well versed in English where punctuation, spelling, and grammar is concerned. It is alarming to me how the English language has been misused, both in print and verbally, particularly of late.
I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and while I have no formal education in that regard, I am well versed on both the acoustic and electric guitar, with a particular interest in the blues and rock idioms. I have been in numerous bands over the years, and have taught students in the past online.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
