University of Phoenix (Master's)
I am from Columbia, South Carolina. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a MBA and with a BS in Information Technology as a Business Analyst. I am going to tell you little bit about me.
I am a dedicated person with a family of four. I enjoy reading, and the knowledge and perspective that my reading gives me has strengthened my teaching skills and presentation abilities.
I have been successful at raising a family, and I attribute this success to my ability to plan, schedule, and handle many different tasks at once. This flexibility will help me in the classroom, where there are many different personalities and learning styles. I enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to help them have an uplifting experience. I have always been an achiever; be it academics or professional life or sports or any other field in my life.
I believe in success through hard work & dedication. My motto in life is to ‘If you want something, work hard & you will achieve it; there are no shot cuts’. I enjoy life to the fullest & love humor. I am a progressive thinker & respect each person’s space & values. I have had over 9 years of customer service, management and training opportunities, through which I was able to learn several skills to enhance my personal abilities. I am dedicated, outgoing, and a team player. I do not take having an education for granted.
Teaching and training has always been my ideal type of environment. Teaching is one of those professions that keeps you on your toes and keeps you young at heart. It’s a profession that allows you to be creative, and work with a variety of different people. There is nothing like getting the opportunity to touch the lives of students and contribute to making their future bright and productive. Unlike most careers, a teaching career has the opportunity to inspire students, not only academically but personally as well.
Schools are fabulously complicated and challenging. I’ve always found the intellectual and personal challenge of teaching a great lesson has its own incredible rewards. There are so many opportunities to lead people and to put ideas into action but knowing that I am making a difference is the most important aspect. When you love what you do, not only will you make a difference in your students’ lives, but you will make a difference in your own as well.
I tutor students in the following subjects:
English 1 and 2, Algebra 1 and 2, Elementary math, Pre-algebra, and Precalculus.
My job is to help empower students to become independent learners! Feel free to contact me, I find it absolutely essential and invaluable to invest the time necessary to meet with you face-to-face. As we communicate with one another, I am convinced that we can design the perfect plan. I am from Columbia, South Carolina. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
