I love math, science, and chemistry. My position as an Environmental Laboratory Technician allows me to use those skills on a daily basis.

I absolutely love math! I have worked with quick learners but also individuals who struggle with the concept. I always try to find a way to relate math to their unique lifestyle so they can better understand.

I would love to work with you. Please contact me if you are struggling with one particular area, are preparing for a test, or just need a fresher on a subject. I would be more than happy to help.

I worked as a supervisor for two years at a K-12 PACE curriculum school. Since the students worked at their own pace, a supervisors job was to monitor everyone and help them understand the material when necessary. The biggest role of a supervisor was to tutor an individual one-on-one in material they were struggling in.

I worked for 2 years at a K-12 Pace curriculum school. Pace curriculums allow you to work one-on-one with students that are struggling in a particular area. Math is my favorite subject and was my primary subject to help students learn at the school. One of my goals with each session is to make math fun and relatable to the individual. If children at a young age cannot relate to math then they lose interest. When the interest is lost on a subject that builds on each lesson, you can easily get behind. I never want to see that happen.

Geometry is my favorite subject in math. I am thankful to have a job that allows me to use this course often. I have obtained two operator licenses with the help of knowing and loving geometry.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

I worked at a pace curriculum school for 2 years. The school was K-12. I worked with all levels, however, I was primarily helping middle and high school grades. I assisted them with math and chemistry mostly and biology when needed. Pre-algebra is a very important subject because it is the first step in algebra. If pre-algebra is not understood early, it will be difficult to succeed in future algebra courses.

She is awesome, knowledgeable and patient

Today we reviewed for Assem's chemistry exam tomorrow. We were not able to go over every problem, however, she felt confident in the problems we were able to go over. We reviewed chemical names and formulas. We learned how to convert mols to grams, grams to mols, and do a mol to mol ratio.

Familiar with material, patient with student

Excellent end of the year review of all concepts learned so far. The score earned was my daughter's highest to date. Very pleased.

Above and beyond

I started working with Jessica in August for the Math and Science portion of the ACT. Throughout our many sessions I learned new ways of solving problems. We also refreshed old math skills and anything important for the act. Jessica is very flexible with my schedule and very responsive. She has so much patients and helped build my confidence for the act! I will suggest Jessica to any students needing any extra help with the act.

Patient and enthusiastic

My daughter was tutored in 7th grade math this summer. She was very happy with Jessica. We stopped mainly due to scheduling differences. Jessica was open to suggestions on what areas she needed to focus on with my daughter. I wish her the best

algebra/ calculus

This was our first lesson with Jessica for my son to get him a review in algebra/calculus before he goes off to college. She made things easy to understand and helped him remember things quickly. Very pleased!

Amazing, creative and patient

Jessica did an awesome job helping my 8th grade daughter grasp Geometry. Within 90 minutes she helped translate my concepts my daughter understood with Algebra to areas with Geometry that helped her get two 100% on practice tests. Amazing! We will certainly be using Amanda again.
