About Matthew

Hey everybody,

My name is Matt, I'm 22 years old and graduated in 3 years with B.A's in both Spanish Language/Literature and Philosophy, from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. I have recently returned from an amazing year spent teaching in South America, and would love the opportunity to use some of this knowledge I've gained to help others. I detest how many current educational norms seem to fundamentally oppose the ideas of learning and enjoyment; I wholeheartedly believe that learning can and should be a fun and engaging activity for all who are involved. In addition to Spanish, I'd gladly help any of you with writing issues or any other subject for that matter, I have a pretty good understanding of most basic disciplines and further how to demonstrate the ideas in a more readily understandable manner. I believe that essentially the retention of knowledge lies in its presentation: if we can find someone to teach us in a way that we can understand, a way that it "makes sense" or becomes important, it will remain forever, and this is supported from a psychological standpoint as well. I seem to have a gift in this art of presentation, and anyways I love to meet new people.

Thanks, and I look foreword to hearing from you.
