Tyler Junior College (Recreation)
I have more than ten years of experience teaching tennis lessons to people of all ages and skill levels. I've taught children as young as three and adults as old as seventy. I've taught skills levels from total beginner to advanced players. Right now I'm working with a five year old girl that is just starting tennis, and a forty eight year old intermediate player. What I love about tutoring is the idea of being hands on in helping a person achieve a higher level of competency in the field in which they are trying to perform better.
I'm a student of the game of tennis first, and I try to impart that same knowledge to my students. There is so much involved with tennis concerning the history of the game and the tradition of the game, not to mention the technique of each and every stroke and the science behind it. The other thing I love about tutoring is the relating to the student on their level.
What makes me an outstanding tennis tutor is the fact that I have the ability to see a flaw in a stroke technique and provide a cure for it. I also have the rationale to be convincing enough for students to make big changes in their games that help them improve greatly. Also, I have the kind of personality that makes people feel comfortable and at home. I am a very friendly and outgoing person.
If you would like to request my services, please contact me concerning improving your tennis game. If you want to be a good solid tennis player and greatly enjoy this game of tennis for a lifetime, I'm the guy to get you there. I promise that I will help you become a better and smarter tennis player. I have more than ten years of experience teaching tennis lessons to people of all ages and skill levels. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) to teach tennis. I spent two years at a program called Tennis Tech at Tyler Junior College where I was trained to teach everything from group and private lessons, to stroke technique, to group dynamics, to the mental side of tennis. I graduated from that program with an A.A.S. in Recreation: Tennis Teaching. I taught for ten years in various places such as the Mid-Town Tennis Club in Rochester, NY, the St Andrews Parks and Playground in Charleston, SC, the Crowfield Golf and Country Club in Goose Creek, SC and the Sugar Bay Plantation Resort in St. Thomas, USVI.
