I have a strong background in writing, editing, education. I have worked as an educator for 10 years. Currently, I teach composition and rhetoric and tutor at the college level. Formerly, I was a math and reading teacher in a GED program. I've also helped students study for the Science and Social Studies sections of the GED. I worked a variety of students including those with special learning needs. I am knowledgeable and patient.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
