I am pleased to introduce myself to you. My name is Patricia A. W. I have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I hold a valid South Carolina teacher license (Pre-K -2), and North Carolina teacher license (K-6).
My teaching career has been geared toward the empowerment of elementary school children. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well rounded, responsible, and successful individuals.
Throughout the course of my career, I have worked in many after school programs tutoring students in reading and math. I really enjoyed working one - on- one or in small groups; and to see the expression on a child's face at an, a- ha moment is priceless. I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students.
My greatest strengths are inspiring and motivating students. I actively engage their eager minds by incorporating a plethora of enjoyable activities. Student engagement is the key to keeping students interested and focused. In addition, I have tailored lesson plans to meet their diverse interest, as well as demonstrated direct connections between the classroom and everyday life. Furthermore, I have vowed to promote lifelong learners, boost students’ self-confidence, and self-esteem.
I look forward to hearing from you, and discussing how I can positively impact your academic life, as you continue to make progress in your educational journey. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
