I have a lot of experience as a tutor and am always well liked by my students. I love one on one teaching and getting to know my students. I will hold the bar high and expect your best because my goal is to help you reach your potential. I have a passion for learning and teaching and ultimately I desire for my students to grasp their subjects so that they enjoy them as I do! Contact me and I would love to make arrangements to tutor you.

Erica is an outstanding tutor that honestly cares about her students. She has tailored a special curriculum for my son, and is very invested in helping him achieve the ASVAB score he desires. She is as pleasant to work with as she is competent. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs help in specific subject areas or general course work.
Erica was very knowledgeable and patient with our student. She was also very flexible with her availability to schedule lesson time. I would highly recommend Erica.
We covered a lot of material - geometry, computations, permutations. She showed me several different ways to solve problems.
Both my girls have studied with Erica and each has raised her algebra score by a full letter grade. They don't just consider Erica their tutor, but their friend, as well.
Erica does a great job of breaking things down for me in way that I can understand. She also goes out of her way to be available even if it's last minute.
Erica is very knowledgeable about several subjects. She is patient with the student and a good listener. My son enjoys his tutor lessons with her!
Erica is very helpful and definitely knows her math. She explains everything very detailed and is easy to understand. He is also very friendly and willing to help.
My son had struggled with algebra. Erica helped my son better understand what he was missing in class. She catered to his learning style which made his experience much richer. She is a great tutor!!!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received a Bachelor's degree from Crown College of the Bible in Powell Tennessee where I completed four years of Bible classes. I have taught three years in a Christian school. Part of my teaching responsibilities there were to teach Bible class every day in elementary and also occasionally be a speaker in high school chapel.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education which included many classes that applied to both elementary and high school. I taught fifth grade full time (all subjects) for two years with no assistant. I also tutored several of my students. I hold a high bar for my students and have learned how to adjust my teaching style to fit each student's needs.
I am certified as a phonetic reading instructor in Wanda Sanseri's "Spell to Write and Read" phonetic reading program which is based mainly on the Spalding Method. I took a class in college and completed the sufficient number of hours of one-on-one tutoring to become certified. I also taught elementary for two years and tutored some of my students in reading.
As a high school teacher in a private school, one of the classes I was responsible to teach was critical thinking. I was responsible to create my own lessons and administer class activities. I continually researched study and critical thinking principles and concepts to challenge my students and help them develop skills in these areas.
