I was born in Panama in Central America. I was exposed to the Spanish language at an early age. I attended Winthrop College in Rock Hill , South Carolina. I have taught various grade levels in the elementary age group plus I have taught English and Spanish in grades. 6-9. I have also worked as a teacher assistant in the kindergarten.
I have tutored high school students in Spanish in the past few years. I enjoy working with a students on a one to one situation. I believe that younger children pick up another language quickly and seem to remember and enjoy it very much. I had one teaching position in Gaston County where I traveled to three different elementary schools during the week to teach the students Spanish.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
