I have been a one on one tutor since 2012, my freshman year in high school. My duties during this period included assisting middle school and high school clients with various subjects including history, science, math, and English once or twice a week for up to two hours. I also helped teach study skills inducing making study schedules, review techniques, outlining methods, and reading with analysis and for comprehension.

I love getting the chance to be creative with teaching each new student, finding something that works for each person in order to make them enjoy that their learning. My passion is creative writing. I began seriously pursuing writing my freshman year of high school and since have had over a dozen publication in anthologies and magazines. I have attended yearly workshops for both adults and students in the area and surrounding states. I was a finalist last year in the USC young writing competition with New York Bestseller Mary Alice Monroe.

I additionally have an editing position on an international magazine for Christian teens. I am responsible for working on the topics for the spreads, editing the layouts, providing additional material if needed, and giving feedback on the entire process.

I am looking for any writing or reading students from the end of May to the start of September. My hours are completely flexible and I am willing to work with any crazy summer schedules. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
