About Kelsey

My name is Kelsey and I am a Graduate Student at South Carolina State University, studying Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and a certification in Special Education (K-12). I am going into my third year of graduate school, and have some free time this summer. I would love to work one on one with your child in the areas that I specialize in to help maintain or achieve a goal in the summer months.

I am currently going into my third year of graduate school in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Though I am not a certified Speech Language Pathologist, I have some knowledge in the area, and can help tutor in the areas of speech and language.

In speech pathology, there is a big concentration on the English language, including grammar. I also think that literature is a huge aspect of a developing child and try to incorporate it as much as possible!

I am a certified teacher K-6 in Elementary Education in the state of Pennsylvania. My degree is from Neumann University.

I have a certification in Special Education (K-12) in the state of Pennsylvania. Currently, I have worked with children with speech and language needs whom are on the spectrum.

I would love to help in any way! Please let me know if you have any questions in my areas of knowledge or if I can be of any help!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I have a certification (K-12) in Special Education in the State of Pennsylvania. This was obtained with my Elementary Education degree in 2013 from Neumann University. Currently, I am in Graduate School at South Carolina State University for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Last summer I worked with a group of 6 students with Autism, both verbal and nonverbal on different spots of the spectrum. I helped with their speech and language needs, as long as pragmatic skills to help with daily living.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have a teaching certification from the state of Pennsylvania in K-6 Elementary Education. My Bachelor of the Arts degree was obtained from Neumann University in 2013.
