About Hunter

Science and math do not have to be the scary subjects so many students make them out to be. My love for science and engineering comes from a love of understanding the natural phenomena that affects my life everyday. I received a BS in Chemical Engineering with a 4.0 GPA and so I understand the hard work needed to succeed academically. In college I tutored dozens of students and challenged them to see their potential for academic success. Seeing many of these students achieve the test scores and grades they never thought they would receive makes it all worth it.

I specialize in high school and college science and mathematic subjects. My extensive background in chemical engineering has provided me the capability to teach not only chemistry, but physics, calculus, and several other fields. My goal in tutoring is to challenge, but never overwhelm, my students and to allow them to guide their success. I am always willing to go over lessons they recently had in school, work through homework, and even help them get a head start on lessons to come.
My success is judged only by the student's success and happiness. I will never bill for tutoring services if I was unable to meet the student's expectations or help them to achieve their goals.

I want the student to be comfortable and be able to focus on their studies so I never will have an issue traveling to their location of choice. Anywhere in the Charleston, SC area can be arranged.

I have had an extensive mathematical background with my engineering education. I have taken Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus in high school and have taken the highest levels of calculus in college

Chemistry has always been a passion for me. Chemical engineering allowed to me to fuse both physics and chemistry together and allowed me to have a better understanding of both in the process.

I know everybody can see the wonders of science if they truly want to. I look forward to hearing from you and achieving success in your studies.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
