Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus

I taught Calculus at Carnegie Mellon University for four years. I wrote or co-wrote three Calculus texts while there. I delivered lectures, taught in a small-class setting (~25 students), and tutored one-on-one.

Drums

I was formally trained in drums in an orchestral setting for six years. I was also formally trained in drums in a marching band for four years. I rose to head of drums for the last two years of my formal training, in both orchestral and marching settings.
