About Beau

I am currently a PhD student at Clemson University in the Mechanical Engineering department. I received my B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in math from Clemson in 2015.

I was a tutor with the athletic department during my time as an undergraduate and I currently teach a senior/graduate level mechatronics lab at Clemson. As a tutor I helped Clemson athletes in classes including calculus I and II, multi-variable calculus, differential equations, statics and dynamics, physics, and fluid dynamics.

My research focus is in Nonlinear Dynamics, which is very heavily math based. In my research I am regularly trying to find numerical and analytical solutions to complex differential equations. Ways of going about solving these types of problems mostly depend on a strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and geometry, so I understand these subjects well.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Differential Equations

I am a Ph.D student in Mechanical Engineering focusing in nonlinear dynamics. The majority of my research deals with numerically and analytically solving high order differential equations so I have a lot of experience. Additionally I have tutored multiple athletes at Clemson in the differential calculus class offered by our math department.

Mechanical Engineering

I have a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and have taught mechatronics and the senior mechanical engineering lab the past year. Additionally I have tutored multiple students in a number of mechanical engineering classes.

Amazing tutor!

Beau was able to patiently walk me through the basic fundamentals of physics, and he was able to have me understanding the material being taught. He was able to teach me in one hour, material that I had not understood over an entire week's worth of classes.
