Universityof South Carolina (Early Childhood Ed.)
In 2007, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's of Arts in Early Childhood Education. My love of teaching stems from my love of learning...especially in the areas of reading and writing. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students succeed and learning to love learning!
I hold myself to a high standard, and for that reason, I often ask for feedback from both parents and students. I do have a minimum of 8 hours cancellation policy.
I specialize in helping emerging readers and writers grow. I tutor in all subjects K-6, and in reading and writing through 12th grade. I enjoy finding new ways to challenge the student on his/her personal level, and finding the best ways for each individual student to learn.
I am happy to meet with you prior to scheduling a tutoring session to determine the individual needs of each student and family.
I do ask that you provide a quiet, distraction-free area of your home to complete the session. If this is not an option, I am happy to work with your family to find a solution.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies! In 2007, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's of Arts in Early Childhood Education. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina, I went on to teach in the public education system As a K/grade 1 Teacher. During this time, I developed unique ways of approaching different learning styles and differentiating instruction based on student needs.
