I am a fourth grade teacher looking to tutor students in grades 3-6. I am certified through DESE to teach Elementary (grades 1-6) and Special Education (PreK-8). I am able to tutor all subjects. I consider myself to be strongest in teaching reading and math. I have tutored third, fourth, and fifth grade students both privately and through Taunton Public Schools.
I love to tutor because it helps students achieve their potential. In one-on-one settings, students are able to receive individualized instruction that builds on their strengths. I believe in getting students excited about their learning, and teaching them to face challenging concepts. Tutoring provides enrichment, and gives students opportunities to excel. Being a positive influence, and helping a young student build confidence is very rewarding.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
