I have also taught United States History and also have taught in a middle school for a few years. In the middle school I taught ancient civilizations and geography. Also as a high school teacher even though I teach social studies many times and often we teach reading and writing skills.

I also coach a sport at the high school I teach at.
I work very hard in my classroom and create a safe learning environment. I would bring those qualities to you as a tutor. I would want the student to be completely satisfied my tutoring and also would want to help the student achieve the success he or she would want in the classroom.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been coaching basketball at the high school level for over 12 years. I have coached at two different high schools but also did many summer basketball camps over the years.
