In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a graphic designer for 35 years. I was a partner in the advertising firm for 11 years, supervising 7 creative people in the creative department. I have taught graphic design applications at RISD/CE from 1992-2005. I am a contributing designer for the RI Creative magazine using The Adobe Creative suite of products.
I use the Adobe Creative Suite of products everyday to create brochures, catalogs, websites and all projects either going to a commercial printer or published to the internet as a website. I have tutored high school and college students as interns in my advertising agency and my freelance practice for many years. I regularly contact my colleagues about trends and new developments in any of the applications that I use.
I was the webmaster for the town of Barrington and the town of Tiverton for over 10 years. I designed and developed many websites for privet companies and organizations using Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator. I have over 15 years' experience using Dreamweaver.
I have won many local, regional and national awards for my graphic design. I have been in business as a graphic designer since 1993. My designs have been published in magazines, as posters and billboards for over 35 years.
