Hello! My name is Jesse and I love math. I am a full-time, professional tutor with years of experience helping students improve their grades and understanding.

I currently work at Halstrom Academy in Mission Viejo teaching and tutoring math - and I also love my job. I get great joy out of seeing the "lightbulb" finally switch on inside a student's mind after minutes, days, or months of not understanding a concept.

I pride myself in being able to gauge a student's learning speed and adapting to it - whether the student needs to take it slow or needs more of a challenge. while teaching or tutoring I always stress the importance of understanding concepts rather than simply getting the answers. I believe this is an important distinction because learning concepts helps students remember what they've learned for longer periods of time. Additionally, if a student understands the concept, their homework will suddenly seem much easier to them.

In addition to working at Halstrom, I am currently an Accounting Student at Concordia University Irvine and I have an Associate's Degree in Philosophy. I also volunteer at the Mission Viejo YMCA.

I was a math geek in high school and scored a 690 on the math portion of the SAT.

I am a polite, professional, respectful person. I am easy to get along with and have a calm demeanor.

I can tutor SAT/ACT Math, Arithmetic, Order of operations, Percentages, Fractions, Prealgebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Proofs, Logic, Graphing, and more!

I hope to hear from you soon!

First session went well!

Jesse was great with my fifth-grade daughter -- very positive and patient. She really likes him and feels as if she made a lot of progress in just the first session. We plan to continue having Jesse tutor her in math!

The Best

Jesse, was right on time and ready to get to work. He sat down with my son and was able to target his problem areas and right away my son's attitude changed. He is excited about learning but most importantly excited to go to Math class. Jesse is kind, patient and most of all knowledgeable. Highly recommend Jesse to ALL! Thank you Jesse see you next week!
