I am a TEFL Certified EFL/ESL instructor with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. I have extensive experience teaching general English at all levels from elementary to advanced (CEF A1 - C2) and all age groups from kindergarten to adults. I have spent the last two years teaching English abroad in Indonesia and Vietnam and I also hold a Cambridge University TKT Module One Certification. Along with extensive experience teaching general English, I have experience teaching US History and Politics and have received training and have some experience teaching TOEFL exam preparation and business English courses. I also have extensive knowledge and job and university experience in international affairs and US politics. I consider myself a relaxed and fun teacher and I prefer to use conversational and experiential learning-based methods, though I also consider my style and methods very adaptable to student needs and preferences. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
