Hi. I am a certified elementary teacher with 13 years experience teaching children. My certification is in elementary education and special education. I taught fifth grade for 9 years and have been teaching third grade for the last 4 years. I would be interested in tutoring in the areas of study skills, phonics, math, reading, and language. I believe all children have the ability to learn, but not all children learn in the same way.
I would love the opportunity to communicate with you and determine whether o not I would be the best fit for tutoring your child. All tutoring sessions would need to take place in a library or public space/area.
I am a mom of a third grade student. I understand the importance of literacy and how it will affect your child for the rest of his/her life.
I have been a Catholic School educator for the last 13 years. I believe in encouraging all students with positive reinforcement and a positive attitude. I believe that education is a partnership between the child, parents, and teacher.

I have a special education degree and throughout my 13 years of teaching, I have worked with several children that have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. I am knowledgeable of strategies that are beneficial for ADD and ADHD learners.
