Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

College Counseling

I have been employed as a University Recruiter, Admission and Financial Aid Officer for the past 12 years. I have headed an admission committee and have read over 1000 admission essays.
Each year I distribute merit scholarships and federal financial Perkins loans. I have traveled to both national and regional recruitment fairs representing Education programs for an Ivy League institution of higher education. I wold like to add college counseling to my area of subjects especially with the new admission cycle beginning. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am happy to submit my resume as well.

Study Skills

I am an academic advisor to college students at Brown University. In this role I work with students on time management, study skills, organizational methods in order to keep them on track with homework assignments and test. I have also taught a Study Skill class to college freshmen at Johnson and Wales University. I am a certified secondary education English teacher.

Very Professional Tutor and Advisor

I was very lucky to be able to work with Ann last month regarding my college admission essay. She provided me with many helpful insights about my essay, and colleges. I applied to three different colleges for the next year spring admission, and I got admitted to two of them, and am still waiting for the third one's decision. My application wouldn't succeed without Ann's help with my college essay.
