My name is Anthony and I am currently an Assistant Construction Project Manager at Rhode Island School of Design. I hold both a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a master's degree in Construction Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. While in high school, I received a math and science scholarship award for excellence in these two subjects. My math, basic physics, and technology skills are strong and developed; as a result, I feel as though I am very qualified to be a tutor for any student looking to strengthen their skills in these areas.
I am extremely reliable, easy-going, patient and easy to work with. My method of tutoring is based on creating a trustworthy relationship between myself and the student. I aim to best understand which methods of learning the student adapts to most and incorporate these into the lessons. In addition to offering my knowledge in subject matter,I also make it a priority to provide advice as the students moves into different courses and reaches pivotal moments in their education. I am very accommodating and very understanding, so making tutoring arrangements will never be a hassle. Anthony is always well-prepared. He works well with our son and has given him good advice regarding test-taking and approaching various math problems.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
