A good balance of fundamental technical skills, in person conversations and exposure to additional resources is key in effectively learning a language. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a former Clark University varsity basketball player who strives to teach the fundamentals of basketball to players of all ages. I have been playing basketball for more than 15 years and I have played in different countries and on different levels of competition. Having played in Serbia, Switzerland, France and the US, I am able to combine my knowledge from those experiences and pass it on to other players.
Ball handling, shooting, moving without the ball, and defensive technique are all fundamentals that I stress to perfection. My drills focus on isolating one of those areas and improving it while progressively putting the other pieces together and becoming a well rounded basketball player.
