My first language is English and I also speak Spanish fluently. In addition, I speak beginner French as well. In the last five years, I have gained much experience teaching ESL in many different countries in the world. When I was not traveling, I was a tutor of Spanish. My students’ ages range between 6 years and 60 years. Currently, I am a student at Inter American University in Puerto Rico. I am receiving my Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. I plan to graduate next semester. I would love the opportunity to gain more experience in my ESL teaching career.
In addition to my travel and living abroad experiences, I have worked in sales and the hospitality industry. Because I enjoy talking to people, working in these industries came very natural to me. I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and am very good at handling my duties while working under pressure. Through my experiences, I gained stronger skills in working in a group and individually and, was always willing to carry out a task.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
