RIT (rochester institute of technology) (Physics)
I am a graduate of RIT's Physics program, where I was a TA for all freshman physics classes. In the course of this, I also helped students learn to apply math and look at the world in a different way. I have had very good student performance on tests for those who were willing to put in time to learn.
I believe that education needs to be an individual journey and that it cannot be generalized in to a single learning program if every student is to succeed.
Math is a subject in which success at higher levels mandates mastery of the base subjects. I have helped many students fill in the gaps left from previous instruction.
Physics is the study of movement, and an understanding of it leads to a more clear world view. Proficiency in this subject allows the learner to be able to make valid assessments of how materials will react in any circumstance. The largest struggle with this class generally comes to clerical errors, practice and being aware of the best usage of notation are something that can only be learned with practice. A good grasp on how to do these things will set up a student to apply their knowledge to problems in a logical and organized way. It really is a fun and interesting subject if you let it be!

Justin is good at figuring out what my son needs and helps with both the content and strategies on how to make the most of time. I highly recommend him for Physics and Math related subjects.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
