My name is Ashley! I graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Marywood University. In college, I realized I had a passion for learning, especially when it came to Psychology. Due to this, I decided to pursue my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy. D). Through my continuing journey in school, I have come to appreciate tutoring and teaching. I have excelling professors, who are always there to support me in my learning endeavors and to make this adventure more fun. They have also inspired me to want to continue helping others develop a passion for learning.

My tutoring style is engaging and fun, and I always try to help foster a passion for learning in my students. I believe it is important to individualize lessons for each person since we are all unique and different in our learning styles. With my formal education in psychology and learning theories, I am able to adapt my teaching to each individuals learning style, as well as help others learn more about how they best learn.

I do not have any formal/professional tutoring experience. However, I have assisted other students in learning class material. Mostly, I have assisted individuals in psychology coursework, including SPSS, statistics, research, and other psychology classes. Due to my exceptional note-taking skills, I provided note-taking assistance to individuals during my undergraduate career. In addition, I have experience working with individuals with disabilities in a school setting. In the school, I would assist with various behaviors, while also assisting with class lessons, homework help, and classwork help. Due to these experiences and my passion for learning, I believe I can be a great tutor!

Mostly, I want to help the individuals I work with succeed in their studies and develop a passion for learning. I view every individual I work with as unique in their learning style as they are in their personality. Please feel free to contact me for more information or to assist you with your tutoring needs.

Through my studies, I have taken several math classes. Math was never my favorite subject growing up. However, when I got to college, I realized that math was easier if it was applied to things I liked, mainly psychology. From there, I have taken several statistics courses, including applied statistics, research and statistics, and the statistics of psychological assessment. I have also participated and conducted research using SPSS software. I have assisted other individuals in my classes with their statistics and SPSS assignments.

My tutoring style for math is to assist individuals by applying lesson concepts to other areas of study that they are passionate. I believe this makes the lesson and concepts easier to understand. I also believe it is important to help individuals foster confidence in their abilities.

Science is a passion of mine, specifically psychology. Through my college studies, I have developed a love for psychology. I was also introduced to philosophy, which I found to be intriguing. In these classes, I always find myself wanting to know more about certain concepts. I have developed new ideas and opened my mind to many concepts. I have assisted students in my classes with their psychology assignments, and truly love fostering this passion in other people.

I am flexible, easy to reach, and excited to help you learn! Feel free to contact me for additional information, questions, or to schedule a lesson!
