I have been working with Sherry since April. We meet each other at a cafe and library. She always motivates me and makes me get confidence with English. And she is sometimes like my mom and sometimes my friend. Everytime I look forward to seeing her and hope this message will be helpful for the students who look for a great tutor.
Sherry has been my tutor for the past month. She is a very knowledgeable tutor. She taught me a lot about American culture and history. She is very creative in her teaching program and always uses exciting ideas in teaching English, such as asking me to read a novel and magazines, writing some papers, listening to the radio, shopping together and visiting museum. I really enjoyed having her as my tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
